Shree Swastika Rice Mill

You can find Shree Swastika Rice Mill over at 49/97 on Prince Ghulam Md. Shah Road. It’s a busy street and there is always a lot of movement. Being a rice mill, things can get a bit dusty and loud during the peak hours, but that’s just part of the job. We have been at this address for a long time, and the building has seen better days, though it serves us well enough. The machinery takes up a lot of the space, so it’s not exactly a place for lounging around. We spend the morning checking the incoming loads and making sure everything is running okay. Prince Ghulam Md. Shah Road is a well-known area, so people don’t usually have a hard time finding us. There’s a specific smell of grain and old wood that stays in the air here. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, but we try to keep it down when we can. It’s hard work and the days are long. We usually take our breaks sitting near the entrance where there’s a bit of shade. It isn't a polished operation, just a regular mill doing what mills do. We focus on getting the rice processed and out the door to wherever it needs to go. Every day feels pretty much like the last one, just constant work and keeping the machines maintained. It's an honest living and we've been doing it at this spot for years now. The floor is made of old concrete and has some cracks.
