Pm Hospital

Our hospital is located out in Santiniketan, in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. It’s a very different pace of life here compared to the big cities. The air is a bit clearer, but it gets very dusty during the dry months. We are right in the middle of Santiniketan, so we get people coming in from all the nearby villages. The building is a simple structure that fits in with the look of the town. We don't have those massive glass elevators or fancy lobbies you see in Kolkata. It’s just a place with white walls and a lot of corridors. People around here know us as the local medical spot. We spend a lot of time sitting at the desks handling registration or talking to families in the hallways. The garden outside has a few trees that give some shade during the hot afternoons. You can hear the birds most of the day, which is nice for the patients. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the town change slowly over the years. We mostly focus on basic care and making sure everyone who walks in gets seen by someone. It’s a quiet existence for the most part, unless there’s a big festival in town. We keep things running as best as we can with the resources we have in Birbhum. It feels like home to most of the staff who grew up nearby and stayed here to work.
