Niff Academy Foundation

Niff Academy Foundation is located over in Birbhum, specifically in the Bhubandanga area. We operate out of Omar Ali's place. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but it’s home for us. We’ve been set up here for a bit now, focusing on the academy work. There’s always something to organize, whether it’s books or just getting the space ready for whatever’s happening next. The building is simple, just like the rest of the neighborhood. We don’t have a lot of staff, mostly just us and a couple of others who help out when they have time. Birbhum is a busy district, but our corner in Bhubandanga stays relatively calm most of the time. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks. That’s just part of running a foundation, I guess. We spend a lot of time talking to the local families. People drop in to ask about what we’re teaching or how they can get involved. We don’t have any big corporate backing, so it’s all very hands-on and local. Sometimes we run out of space, so we have to shuffle things around to make it work. It’s a bit messy at times, but we’re used to it. We just want to keep the academy running so the kids and others have somewhere to go. It’s practical work, nothing more and nothing less. We’re just glad to be here doing what we do every day for the community.
