In the Old Dangalpara area of Suri, life moves at its own pace. Our office for M/S Gammon India Limited is right here in Birbhum, and if you’re looking for us, you’ll likely find Abhisek Chakraborty or one of the other guys around. We’ve been operating out of this part of West Bengal for a while now. It’s not a big corporate tower; it’s just a local spot where we handle the heavy lifting for the projects in this region. The roads around here can be a bit dusty, and the office usually has the sound of some construction or traffic in the background. We deal with a lot of different engineering and building tasks, which means there’s always someone coming in with a report or a new set of plans. It’s practical work. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations. Instead, we’re mostly concerned with the materials and the site progress. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty’s son, Abhisek, is a key part of the setup here. We all just pitch in to make sure the work gets done correctly. The humidity in Bengal can be tough in the summer, but we keep the fans going and keep working through the day.
