Kashvi Charitable Foundation

Kashvi Charitable Foundation is located right in the Bolpur Super Market area on Santiniketan Road. We are in the B-Block, specifically at number 14. It is a very lively part of Birbhum because the market is always full of people looking for groceries or clothes. Our office is tucked away in one of the blocks, so it can be a bit of a puzzle to find us the first time. It is a standard market building with concrete stairs and narrow hallways. Inside our space, we keep things very basic. There are some metal cupboards for our files and a few plastic chairs for when people come by to talk. Santiniketan Road is usually buzzing with students and tourists, but the super market has its own local crowd. We have a small fan that rattles a bit, but it helps with the Birbhum heat. Most of our days are spent talking to folks from the surrounding villages or sorting through paperwork for the foundation. We do not have any fancy posters on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a map of the district. It is a practical place to work because we are right where the people are. Sometimes the noise from the market stalls below gets a bit loud, but we just raise our voices a little. It is an honest place to do our daily work and we like being part of the Bolpur community.
