If you head over to Chak Pahartola in the Morwa block, you’ll find us at Harendra Prasad Roy’s place. We’ve been operating out of this village for a good bit of time now. It’s a very local operation, deeply rooted in the Panch-Chakpahar area. We deal with tea, which is pretty common around here, but we try to do it right. The workspace is simple, mostly just a few rooms where we store the bags and do the weighing. It’s dusty work, and there’s always a bit of tea dust on the floor by the end of the afternoon. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big corporate office. Most of us just wear our everyday clothes and get to work. The tea arrives in big bundles, and we spend hours sorting it out. It’s a lot of standing and moving heavy sacks around. We have a few locals from the village who come in to help when things get busy during the harvest months. Life in Morwa is steady, and we just follow the seasons. When the weather is good, we get a lot done. When it pours, we mostly stick inside and catch up on the bookkeeping. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and it feels good to be part of the community here. We just take it one day at a time and keep things moving. We aren't in a rush to be anything else.
