We operate Chakrabarti & Son'S Beverage Private Limited out of Surul in the Paschim Para area. It is right near Sriniketan and Santiniketan in Birbhum. This area is known for its history and culture, but for us, it’s just where we work every day. Being a family-run beverage business, things are handled a bit differently than in a big city company. There is no board of directors, just family and a few helpers getting the bottles ready. The building is an older style, typical for this part of West Bengal. We spend our mornings checking the water and the mixes. It can get pretty humid here, which makes the work tiring, but we stay focused on the task. We don't have a polished showroom. Most of our space is used for storage and production. We see a lot of people passing through Santiniketan, but we mostly deal with the local distributors who know us by name. Our sentences aren't filled with corporate jargon. We just talk about the weather, the machinery, and how much we need to get done before the weekend. It is a quiet life in Surul. We don't aim to be the biggest company around, just a steady one that provides for the family and the workers. We handle our own deliveries sometimes if the regular driver is sick.
