Brikho Foundation

We are located in Mouza-Makrampur, which is a part of the Bolpur area. Our place is on a specific plot near the police station, and it’s a bit of a rural setting. The name Brikho means tree, and that’s a big part of what we care about around here. We spend a lot of time outside, not just sitting in the office. The office itself is quite simple, just a room with some basic furniture and a lot of maps of the local land. We talk to people about planting things and taking care of the soil. But it’s not just about trees. We also help the local folks with their daily struggles. Bolpur is a place with a lot of history, and we want to keep the land and the community healthy. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just a few of us who know each other well. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up because we’d rather be outside talking to the farmers. We aren't trying to be the biggest foundation or anything like that. We just want to do good work that stays in the village. If you come by Makrampur and ask for the plot near the old J.L road, you’ll find us easily. We usually have some tea ready for anyone who stops by to chat about the neighborhood or the weather.
