Cottage Restaurant

We are located inside the Mahindra Valley Resort area in Bhainsori, which is out in the Almora District. The pin code is 263684. Being up here in the hills means things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We aren't a stand-alone shop on a busy street; we are part of the resort grounds, but we run things our own way. The air is fresh, but it can get quite chilly, especially in the evenings. Our kitchen staff is mostly local people from the nearby villages who have been with us for a long time. The dining area is simple with a lot of natural light coming in from the windows. We don't have any flashy signs or loud music playing. Mostly you just hear the sounds of the trees and the birds outside. It’s a quiet place to work. We spend our mornings getting the supplies brought up the hill, which can be a bit of a task depending on the weather. The floors are stone and the walls are plain. We don't worry about being trendy. We just want to make sure the food is ready when people are hungry. It’s a bit out of the way, but that is what makes it peaceful. Most people who eat here are staying at the resort, but we see locals too. It’s just a steady, quiet routine we have. We like the mountain life and the simple way we run the kitchen here.
