Down here in Binka, right by the police station, you will find Saraswati Marbles And Tiles. This is a small town, so we know a lot of the folks who come through our doors. We carry a mix of different stones and plenty of tiles for bathrooms and kitchens. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a sturdy building with a lot of heavy stock inside and out. We spend our days loading tiles into rickshaws or trucks for people in the Subarnapur district. It can get pretty hot during the summer, and the stone stays cool, which is nice when you are working around it all day. We try to keep a good range of colors because everyone has different tastes. Sometimes people bring in a small piece of something they saw elsewhere and ask if we have it. We do our best to find a match or something close enough. It is a lot of lifting and shifting things around. We don't have a team of secretaries; it is mostly just us handling the customers and the inventory. If the weather is bad, things slow down, but usually, there is always something to do. We just keep the gates open and wait for the next person who needs a floor done. It is a quiet life but we stay busy enough to keep things running properly every single day.
