Cochin Gaskets Private Limited

Down here at Cochin Gaskets Private Limited, we’re located at Vi/579-A in the Industrial Development Area of Edayar. It’s over by Binamipuram P.O. The air always has that industrial smell, which we’ve stopped noticing after all these years of working here. We make gaskets, and that’s pretty much what fills our days from start to finish. The machines run almost constantly. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. Our workspace is cluttered with sheets of material and small cut-offs. We try to sweep up every evening, but by ten the next morning, the floor is covered again. That’s just the nature of the work. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad on the bikes. We share the building area with a few other operations, so there's always someone around to chat with during the tea breaks. We don't have a website that gets updated or anything like that. Most people find us because they know someone who already buys from us. It’s all very word-of-mouth. We have an old wooden desk where we handle the paperwork, but mostly we're out on the floor. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the big bay doors open to get a breeze from the Edayar side. Sometimes a stray dog comes in to sleep in the shade, and we don't mind. We just keep working through the orders. It’s a local operation, nothing too complicated about it at all.
