Gujarat Saw Mill

We are located at Plot No. 235-236 in the Phase-3 area of GIDC, Antaliya. If you come by Gujarat Saw Mill, you’ll probably hear the machines running long before you see the gate. It is a bit loud around here most days, but that is just how a saw mill works. We spend a lot of time moving timber and making sure the cuts are right for whatever someone needs that week. The yard gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the industrial estate. There are a few of us here who have been doing this for years now. We know the smell of different woods by heart. Sometimes people come in looking for specific sizes and we just see what we have on the stacks. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up. Most of our neighbors in GIDC are doing different things, but we just stick to what we know with the wood. Our address is easy enough to find if you know where Phase-3 is. Some days are slower than others, but there is usually something to move or saw. We don’t spend much time in an office because the real work happens out where the saws are. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting and stacking. We just try to get the orders done so people can get on with their own building projects, no matter how small.
