Rajaji Food Product

If you ever find yourself at Gurunanak Chowk in Torwa, you’ll likely see where we work. Rajaji Food Product is right there in the middle of all the action. It’s a busy intersection, so there is never a dull moment. We deal with various food items, mostly local stuff that people use every day. The shop is usually cluttered with bags and boxes because we don't have a lot of storage space. I spend a lot of time organizing things only for them to get messy again an hour later. That’s just the nature of the business. My family has been in Torwa for generations, so we know the community well. People stop by not just to buy things but to chat for a bit. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks constantly, but it keeps the air moving. The floor is made of old tiles that are cracked in a few places. We’ve thought about replacing them, but there never seems to be a good time to close the shop. During the festivals, the chowk gets so crowded that it’s hard to even walk, but those are our best days. We just keep doing what we do, day after day. It isn't a glamorous job, and we aren't trying to impress anyone. We just provide food products to the people of Torwa and try to stay out of trouble.
