Om Rakhad Etta Udyog

Our yard is set up at Smt Nivedita Shukla’s place in Village Sendari. It’s right on the Bilaspur Link Road, so we get a lot of trucks and cars passing by all the time heading toward Malabandan. The road is always a bit torn up, so it gets very dusty, especially during the summer months. Om Rakhad Etta Udyog is what we call the place, but to most people around here, it’s just the brick yard on the link road. We have a lot of space out here in the village, which is good because the piles of bricks take up a lot of room. We spend our days outside, mostly. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, the work still needs to happen. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a long time. We know the routine. In the mornings, we check the inventory and start loading up whatever needs to go out. The location is convenient for people traveling between the main towns. We see a lot of traffic, but the village itself stays pretty quiet. Sometimes Smt Nivedita Shukla comes by to see how things are going. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy at all. We just focus on making sure the bricks are stacked right and the yard stays somewhat clear so the trucks can turn around without getting stuck in the dirt. It's just us and the road most of the time.
