Up here in Jamthal, the air is a bit different than what you find down in the plains. Our office is located at B-15 in the Ntpc Township in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities most people are used to. Living in the township means everything is close by, but you still feel like you are right in the middle of the hills. The roads around here are very winding, and sometimes in the winter, it gets quite chilly in the mornings, so we keep the tea kettle going all day long. Our office is not much to look at from the outside, just a standard brick building in the township block. Inside, it is all about the work. We deal with the day-to-day operations and make sure everything is recorded correctly in the ledgers. It is a small team, and we have all known each other for a long time now. There is not any corporate hierarchy that gets in the way of us talking to one another. We just sit in our spots and get through the list of things to do. The view outside is quite nice, with the hills in the distance, but most of the time we are just looking at our computer screens or paper files. It is a simple life here in Distt. Bilaspur. We do not need much to keep things running, just some reliable electricity and a bit of focus. It feels like a small community here.
