Our place is in Bilaspur, right over in Hemunagar. If you know where Tapan Chatterjee lives, we are just before that spot. Dipika Sharma looks after things here. We are a multipurpose foundation, which basically means we try our hand at whatever needs doing in the community. It’s not a big fancy office with glass doors or anything. It’s just a normal building where we sit and work together. We started this because we wanted to do something useful for our local area. Some days we are busy with one thing, and the next day it might be something totally different. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers running around. It's just a few of us. We use simple English and talk to people like they are our neighbors, because they usually are. The weather here in Bilaspur can be quite something, but we keep the doors open anyway. We don't have a shiny website or a big marketing budget. Most people find out about us just by walking past or hearing someone mention the name Nayi Kiran. We focus on being practical. If someone has a problem we can help with, we try to do it. It’s a very local thing. We like staying small and keeping things honest. We don't have a grand plan. We just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful where we can. It’s just us working hard in our corner of Hemunagar.
