Maheshwari Enterprises

We’ve been over here on Bharwain Road for a long time now. It really started as a small thing. Mostly just getting bits and pieces that people needed around the neighborhood. Some days we are quite busy but other days are pretty slow. Maheshwari Enterprises is the name on our papers but we just think of it as the shop. My family helps out with most of the things. We usually open up quite early because that is when the folks around here start moving. The shop itself isn't fancy at all. We have some old wooden shelves that have seen better days. It gets a little bit dusty sometimes but that is just how it goes when you’re near the road. We keep a big notebook to track what goes in and out. Most of the people who walk through the door are our neighbors. We know most of them by their first names. It is a very simple setup. Not much has changed in the way we do things over the years. We just try to keep the stock right for the people. If someone needs something we don't have, we try to look around and see if we can get it for them. Usually, it works out okay. It is a lot of work but it keeps us busy. The road outside can get very loud with the trucks passing. That’s just the way it is here. We like being part of this local spot. It feels like home.
