At Lanco Infratech, we operate out of Ab 1397 in Kaveri Vihar, which is located within the NTPC Korba area of Chhattisgarh. Working in an industrial township like this gives everything a very specific feel. It’s not like being in a regular city center. Everything revolves around the power plant and the community that lives here. Our office at Kaveri Vihar is a straightforward place. We don’t have a big lobby or anything like that. It’s just a functional space where we handle our daily tasks and manage our projects. The weather in Korba can be quite intense, especially during the summer months, so the office is our main refuge where we can get stuff done. We spend a lot of time reviewing plans and keeping track of our schedules. It’s a very practical environment. There’s nothing fancy about Ab 1397; it’s just where we happen to work. The people who come by are usually folks we already know from around the NTPC site. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of life in this part of Chhattisgarh. It’s quiet in the residential pockets of the Vihar, which helps when we need to concentrate. We just focus on the job at hand and don't worry too much about the aesthetics of the office. It’s a honest, working-class atmosphere here. We keep our files in order, answer the phones, and try to make sure each day is productive in its own simple way.
