Durgesh Law House

We've been at No.A/2 in the Indrajit Complex for a while now. Being right on High Court Road makes sense since we handle law books and materials. People usually just drop by when they're headed to court or finishing up work nearby. It’s a busy spot, but we try to keep things organized enough so you can find what you need without too much trouble. My desk is usually covered in papers, but I know where the different legal texts are kept. Durgesh Law House isn't a fancy place. It’s just a shop with shelves full of books. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud, and it gets dusty with all the paper around. We spend most of the day answering questions about which edition is the latest or looking for specific acts that someone needs for a case. It's regular work. Most of our regulars are lawyers from around the corner who know exactly what they want, though we get students too who look a bit lost. If you're walking past the complex, you’ll see our sign. We keep the doors open during the day. It’s a straightforward shop. Nothing more to it than selling books to people who need them for their legal work. We’ve seen the road change quite a bit over the years, but we’re still here in the same unit. It's a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside, but we make it work. We usually have some chai in the afternoons, and the smell fills the whole shop.
