The team for Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Ltd. is currently stationed over at the NTPC Sipat site in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. It's a massive place, and we are right in the middle of all the heavy construction and industrial activity. Being located care of NTPC means we are pretty much on-site all the time. It’s dusty and loud here, but that’s just how it is with this kind of work. We don’t have a regular office in a city building; instead, we work out of the site offices and containers. It’s practical because we need to be near the machinery and the actual construction progress. Bilaspur is a bit of a distance from the main cities, so we stay pretty focused on the job. There isn't much around here besides the plant itself. We spend our days wearing hard hats and boots, checking on the progress of the heavy industry projects we are involved with. It’s hard work and the weather in Chhattisgarh can be quite intense, especially during the summer months. We have our meetings in small prefab rooms with air conditioning that tries its best to keep up. Everyone here knows their role, and we just get on with it. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. We are here to build things, and our location at Sipat is exactly where we need to be to make that happen every day.
