Being located right near National Highway 27 makes this a very busy spot for us. You can find us at Lalwaea Bara Garra. The trucks are constantly passing by on the highway, and you can hear them all day long while we work. We make poha here. It's a process that takes a lot of time and you have to get the temperature just right or it doesn't turn out. The sun really hits the side of the building in the afternoons, so it gets pretty warm inside. It smells like flattened rice in here from morning until night. We have a small crew of people, and most of us live just a short walk or bike ride away. We don't have a website or any of those fancy things. People usually just call us up or show up at the gate. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit muddy and difficult, but we just manage. We've been at this specific spot for a good while now. It's definitely not a quiet job. The machines make a lot of rattling noises when they're running. We just focus on getting the bags filled and stacked up properly. There's a lot of heavy lifting involved every single day. My back hurts sometimes, but that's just part of the trade we're in. Dhanwani Poha is just a local business doing its thing. That's how it goes here for us every day.
