Abhilasha Hospital

Mungeli Road is a busy stretch and being here at Minocha Colony means we see a lot of the local traffic. The hospital is at number 18/C and it’s a familiar sight for the people living in this part of town. It’s a solid building that has been standing here through many seasons. Inside, the hallways are usually busy with staff moving back and forth or families waiting for news. We have different rooms for different needs but nothing is overly fancy. It’s more about being practical and having the right tools on hand. The morning shift starts with a lot of cleaning and making sure everything is in its place. You can hear the distant sound of horns from the main road, but inside we try to keep things a bit calmer for the patients. There’s a specific smell to the place, a mix of floor cleaner and medicine, which you get used to pretty quickly. We have a small area where people can sit outside if they need some air. It’s not a massive institution but we have enough space to take care of whoever comes through the gates. The staff here are mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. We just go about our business and try to help folks get back on their feet without making a big fuss about it. It is just a part of the neighborhood.
