We have been set up here in Kharota for quite a while. Most people who live around the Jhanduta area know exactly where the office is, just a short walk past the Berthin post office. It is a quiet spot in Himachal Pradesh, but we stay busy enough with the daily chores. It is mostly just paperwork and making sure things are moving along as they should be. The weather gets really nice up here in the mountains, but when the monsoon hits, the roads can become a real hassle for everyone. We keep the doors open and just try to get through the tasks as they come. It is not a fancy setup by any means. Just a few desks, some chairs, and a small group of us making sure the logs stay updated. Some days are slower than others, but that is just the way it goes in a small village like this. We have seen plenty of changes in the local area over the last few years. We handle the local side of Jaiprakash Associates Ltd from this little corner of Bilaspur. It is practical work. No big speeches or anything like that. We just show up and do what needs to be done. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet starts acting up, but we manage to get the files sorted eventually. If you are coming from the main road in Berthin, you will find us easily.
