We are located in Village Dhararsani, near the Rishikesh post office in Jhandutta. This is in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Being up here in the hills means the work is a bit different. Itd Cementation India Ltd has this small base to look after the local projects. It is a simple building, nothing special to look at. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at the actual sites. The roads around here can be tricky for the big trucks. We have to plan everything very carefully so nothing goes wrong. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just have a few people who handle the supplies and the payroll. The winters get cold, and the work slows down a bit, but we stay busy with the maintenance. You can usually find a few of us drinking tea and looking over the maps. It is a hardworking environment. There is always mud on the floor and the smell of diesel in the air. We don't mind it much. It is just part of the daily routine. We've been here for a while and the locals know what we are about. We just focus on the job and try to finish things on time without too much fuss. It is a decent way to make a living.
