We are based out of Bahot-Kasol, which is a small village area in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Being up here in the hills is beautiful but it definitely makes the work more complicated. The roads are winding and sometimes the weather doesn't want to cooperate with our schedules. We’ve been working on various development projects in the region for a while now. It’s a lot of physical work and being outdoors in all sorts of temperatures. Our office is a basic setup in the village, nothing fancy at all. We spend a lot of time traveling between different sites in the Sadar tehsil. It’s the kind of job where you’re always wearing boots and probably have some mud on your clothes by noon. We don't have a big marketing team or anything, we just focus on the engineering and the construction tasks in front of us. Managing labor and materials in these hilly areas takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the trucks can't make it up the slope and we have to figure out a different way to get the job done. It’s just the way things are done here. We aren't trying to be something we are not, just trying to get these roads and structures built properly. It’s hard work, but the view of the mountains makes it a little better at the end of the day. It's a job.
