Gammon India Limited

We have been here at the Koldam project site for a while now. It is right in Harnora, which is just a small village in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Working in the hills has its ups and downs, literally speaking. Some days the mountain weather is nice, and other days it gets quite rough with the wind and cold. We spend most of our time at the site office near the actual project. The pin code here is 174013 if anyone needs to mail us something. Most of the people here are busy with the daily construction tasks and paperwork. It is not a fancy office at all, just a practical workspace where we get things done. We usually start quite early in the morning when it is still cool outside. The local people around Harnora are used to seeing the Gammon India Limited crew around by now. It is a long way from the big cities, but we have what we need to keep the work going. There is often a lot of dust from the heavy work, so things in the office get messy pretty fast. We drink a lot of hot tea to stay awake and warm when the mountain air picks up. Life here is simple and mostly centered around how the project is moving along. Sometimes the roads are tricky to navigate, but that is just how it is in this part of the country. We are just a regular bunch of people doing our jobs.
