Maa Shakti Ayurvedic Clinic

Maa Shakti Ayurvedic Clinic is located on the first floor, right above the Kurji Chasma Centre at Kurji More. It is near the main road, so you can see the sign pretty clearly when you are passing by. We have a few rooms where we keep our herbs and oils. The smell of the different plants is the first thing you notice when you walk up the stairs. People come to us when they are tired of other things and want to try the traditional Ayurvedic way. We spend a lot of time looking at what people eat and how they live their lives. It isn't a fast process, but people in Kurji know we take our time with them. The stairs can be a bit steep for some of the older folks, but they usually manage okay. Being near the More means there is always noise from the buses and rickshaws, but we are used to it by now. We keep the clinic open most days, and it is usually just a couple of us working here. We don't use any fancy machines, just what we have learned about herbs and natural balance over the years. It is a practical place for people who want a different approach to their health problems. Sometimes we run out of a certain herb and have to wait for the next batch to be prepared. We keep a notebook of everyone who visits so we can remember their specific needs next time they come up the stairs.
