Ram Dall Mill

Our mill is on the Nokha Main Road, right where the Bikaner Road starts. We are close to the Forest Office in Nokha. At Ram Dall Mill, we spend most of our days processing pulses. It’s a dusty job, honestly. The machines are old but they still work fine for what we need. You can hear the hum of the grinders from the street outside. We get loads of raw grain delivered by trucks throughout the week. Then we spend time cleaning, sorting, and splitting the lentils. It’s a lot of manual labor along with the machine work. We aren't some big corporate factory with shiny floors. Our floors are covered in grain dust and we wear practical clothes for the work. Locals come by to buy sacks of dal directly from us. We also send stuff out to the markets in Bikaner. The weather gets really hot here, so we start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in this part of Rajasthan. We focus on getting the husks off properly so the quality is decent. It’s a family-run type of thing. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. If you need to find us, just look for the big stacks of bags near the Forest Office.
