It’s a quiet enough part of the world, but we stay busy with people wanting to move around. The office is right on the road, so it’s easy to pull up and come inside for a chat about travel plans. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone telling us how to speak to customers. It’s just us. We sit here, take the calls, and try to organize the tours and travels as best as we can without making things too difficult. Khajuwala is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone, so we see a lot of familiar faces coming through the door on Society Road. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be more than a local travel shop. Sometimes we’re just sitting here drinking tea and waiting for the next person to walk in. The weather out this way can be tough, dry and hot most of the year, but we’ve got our little space set up to stay out of the sun. It’s a simple business. We do the bookings, check the schedules, and make sure the vehicles are ready to go. No big mission statements, just travel work in a small town. We are just local people trying to help other locals get from one place to another.
