Maruti Building Material

Being right in the Main Bazar of Chhatargarh means it is always noisy. We are at Plot No. 465, which isn't hard to find if you know the market. Maruti Building Material has been here since the roads were much worse than they are now. We sell the basic stuff people need to build a wall or fix a roof. There are stacks of bags and piles of sand around the place. Some days the traffic is so bad that the trucks can't even get close to the entrance. We just deal with it. It’s not a glamorous job, getting your hands dirty and dealing with heavy loads. The staff here is just a few local guys who know the area well. We recognize most of the people who walk in. A lot of folks are building their own houses slowly, buying a little bit at a time when they have the money. We keep track of everything in big ledgers. The shop can get a bit cramped with all the inventory. Sometimes the dust from the cement makes everyone sneeze. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people just walking in or calling us on the phone. We stay open pretty late during the busy season. It is just honest work, helping people get their projects finished without too much fuss. There is always something to move or someone to help when the day starts.
