Priya Collection

Priya Collection is right there at Jain Chowk. Since it's a busy intersection, there is always something happening outside our window. We sell clothes and various bits of fabric. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what a customer wants right away, but we eventually dig it out from the stacks. Our shelves are a bit wobbly, but they hold up the stock well enough. We’ve been at Jain Chowk for quite a few years now. The morning starts with sweeping the front and arranging the latest arrivals. It gets dusty because of the road, so we are constantly wiping things down. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything. It’s just us and the customers who walk in. Most of them are locals who have been coming here since they were younger. We know a lot of them by name. The afternoons are usually the busiest when the sun isn't so hot. We don't use a fancy computer system; we still write most things down in a big book. It works for us. The lighting inside is a bit yellow, but it makes the place feel cozy. We just try to keep enough variety so everyone finds something they like. It’s a simple shop in a crowded part of town, and we like the energy of the chowk. We just stay busy with the regulars and the daily chores.
