Fidelity Felt Textile Mills

If you head out to the Industrial Area in Rani Bazar, you will find us at number 174. That is where Fidelity Felt Textile Mills is located. It is a dusty part of town because of all the factories and the trucks moving in and out all day long. We specialize in felt, which is a bit different from your usual garment textiles. It is a rugged kind of work. The mill is a large, open space where we have all our equipment set up. It can get quite hot in Bikaner, so the summers are definitely a challenge for everyone working on the floor. We do not have a fancy reception area or anything like that. When you walk in, you are pretty much right in the middle of the workspace. We have been doing this for a long time and we have a routine that works for us. The guys here know the machines inside out. We spend most of our time just making sure the felt comes out the right thickness and strength. There is no corporate manual or fancy mission statement hanging on the wall. We just show up, do the work, and go home. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which is just part of the job. It is a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We are just a bunch of people making felt in an industrial zone. It is hard work but we like it.
