Disha Carrier Institute

Disha Carrier Institute is located in Budhan, which is a bit quieter than the center of the city. We have a few rooms where we set up tables and chairs for the students who come to see us. It’s a very simple setup with some whiteboards and markers that are always running out. We don't have fancy air conditioning or bright lights, just the usual fans and the windows that we open to let the breeze in. In the mornings, you can hear the birds before the students start arriving with their notebooks and pens. We spend a lot of time going over the same chapters and helping people prepare for their exams. There is a lot of silence here when everyone is focused on their papers, followed by a lot of noise when the class finally lets out. We have a small shelf with some old reference books that anyone can use if they need to look something up. It’s just a place for people who want to put their heads down and get their work done. We don't have any big slogans on the walls, just a clock and maybe a map. Most of our day is just sitting with the learners and making sure they understand what they are reading. It’s a slow and steady kind of life, and we like the quiet of this area.
