Vikas Hospital

Vikas Hospital sits right on NH-74, directly across from the Ramlila Ground. It’s a very visible spot because of all the traffic that goes past on the highway. We get a lot of noise from the trucks and buses, but we have gotten used to the constant hum over the years. The hospital is a sturdy building that has had to deal with a lot of different situations. When there are events at the Ramlila Ground, things get even busier around here with crowds and more vehicles. Inside, the hallways are wide enough for stretchers and we have several different wards for the patients. The paint is a bit faded in some corners, but we keep everything as tidy as possible. We have a small area where families can sit and wait, and there’s usually a pot of tea going in the staff room. It’s a functional place where the focus is on the day-to-day tasks of running a hospital on a busy national highway. We don’t use any polished marketing or slogans; we just provide a place where people can go when they are unwell. The staff is used to the fast pace and the variety of people who stop in from the road. It is a big part of the local landscape and we just keep doing our bit every day for the community. There isn't much more to say about it really, we are just here and we do the work.
