Ushman & Sons

Our shop is located in Sherkot, right in the Chirkut area. We are very close to the Jain Temple, so people use that to find us. It’s a family business that’s been around for quite a long time. Ushman started things off and now the sons are the ones running the daily operations. We aren't a big company with many branches. This is our only spot and we like it that way. The building is old and has a lot of stories. We keep a variety of stock inside, and it’s not always perfectly organized. Sometimes you have to dig a bit to find what you need. We don't use much technology. Most things are done the old-fashioned way with paper and pens. Sherkot is a nice place to live and work. We know almost everyone who walks past the door. In the mornings, we watch the people going to the temple. It’s a peaceful way to start the day. We share a lot of tea and conversation with our neighbors. We don't have any big plans to expand or change things. We just want to keep providing what we can to the community here. My brother handles the accounts and I look after the customers. It’s a simple arrangement that has worked for us for years. We just take it one day at a time and keep the doors open for whoever needs us. It's a humble life but it is a good one for us.
