The Wood Icon

The Wood Icon is located over in Lohari Sarai, which is part of the Nagina District. If you know this area, you know it's got a long history with wood. We’ve got our space set up here and we spend a lot of time working with our hands. It gets pretty dusty inside, but that’s just how it goes when you're working. We aren't a huge operation with fancy showrooms. It’s more of a workshop feel at The Wood Icon. We’ve been in Nagina for a long time. People around here know the address in Lohari Sarai well enough. We keep the doors open mostly to let the air circulate. You can smell the sawdust from down the street. We use old tools and some newer ones too, whatever works for the job. There’s no big sign or flashing lights outside. We just show up, do the work, and go home when it's dark. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out or find something else to do. It’s a quiet life for the most part, focusing on the material in front of us. We have scrap wood piled up in the corners. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. This is just where we are and what we do at Lohari Sarai. It might not look like much to a stranger, but it’s our place and we like it. We stay here late and get the carving done right.
