Sufiyan Handicraft

You can find us in Ward No.97 in Chater Bhojpur, which is part of the Nagina taluka. We are very close to the bus stand, so there is always the sound of engines and people shouting for their rides. Sufiyan Handicraft is really just a small workshop where we handle wood. Nagina is known for this kind of work, and we have been doing it since we were young. The floor is almost always covered in wood shavings and little scraps. We make small things, mostly carved items that people can use at home. It’s a quiet life if you ignore the buses outside. We don’t have a big fancy showroom. Instead, we have shelves filled with boxes and pieces we’ve finished recently. Usually, there are a few of us sitting together, working on different parts of a carving. The light comes in through the front door, and we stay there until it gets dark. Sometimes we get orders from far away, but mostly it is just local business. We use simple tools like chisels and small files to get the patterns right. It takes a lot of focus to not make a mistake. We drink a lot of tea to keep going throughout the afternoon. It is honest work and we have been in this same spot for quite a few years now. The wood we use comes from local trees, and we know exactly how it behaves.
