Sandhya Engg. Industries

We've been at 60 Krishna Nagar for a while now. Most people know us because we are right near the Chandpur Gurudwara. If you take the Bye Pass Road, it’s not hard to find the place. It's just a regular engineering workshop where we spend most of our day dealing with metal and machines. Sandhya Engg. Industries isn't a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. It is dusty, loud, and there is always something being welded or cut. My father started this and now we just keep it going. We handle whatever work comes through the door, mostly small parts or repairs for people in the neighborhood. Some days are really busy and the tea stalls nearby get a lot of business from us. Other days it's just us cleaning the machines. We don't have a big website or a marketing team. If you need something fixed or made, you just walk in and talk to us. It is honest work. The workers have been with us for years, so they know their way around the tools. We try to get things done on time, though sometimes the power cuts or parts take longer to arrive. That’s just how it goes here. We are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. It is a simple life but we like being part of this local industrial area. We hope to stay here for many more years as long as there is work to do.
