Firstgrowth India Foundation

Our office is at House Number 1/532 in Ward 3, right on Bhikhampur Road. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our window. We started Firstgrowth India Foundation because we felt like this part of the area was getting overlooked. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just the bits we can reach from our front door. The house isn't anything special, just a regular place where we keep our files and meet with people. We spend a lot of time talking about how to get things moving in the community. It’s slow work, and some weeks it feels like we aren't getting anywhere at all, but then something small happens and it feels worth it. We don't have a big team or any fancy equipment. It’s mostly just us and a few old computers that take forever to start up in the morning. We don't bother with those mission statements you see in big companies. We just figure out what needs to be done today and we do it. Whether it's helping someone with a local project or just giving advice on how to grow a small idea, we’re here. The paint on the walls is a bit faded, but the chairs are comfortable enough for a long talk. That’s about all we need to get the job done.
