You can find Dr M P Singh Clinic over in Mohalla Ismailpur. It is in the Bijnor district of UP. The clinic is tucked away in a part of the mohalla that gets quite a bit of foot traffic. It is a simple place, just a couple of rooms where we do our daily work. Bijnor can get very hot in the summer, so we have the fans going all day long to keep the air moving. Dr M P Singh is usually busy with someone, so the rest of us stay out front to help the people coming in. We don't have any big flashy signs or anything. Most people know where we are just by asking around the neighborhood. The floor is made of that old stone that stays cool, which is nice. We have a few benches outside too for when it gets too crowded inside. Sometimes the cows wander by the front door, which is just how things are around here. It is a very local kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. We spend our days filing papers and making sure there is enough water in the jug for the patients. It is a quiet life for the most part, just doing the same thing every day and helping the folks from Ismailpur who stop by. We’ve been here for years now and it’s home. It’s a busy spot but we like the pace of it.
