Our clinic is situated at Mohalla B-14 in the Nai Basti area of Bijnor, UP. It’s a traditional part of the town where the houses are close together and everyone knows their neighbors. Dr Anil Kumar Tyagi has his clinic right here among the local residents. The lanes can be a bit narrow, so most people just walk over or come on a cycle. It’s a very local feel. We don’t have a big reception desk or a waiting room with a television. Instead, people just wait their turn on the benches we have set up. It’s the kind of place where people talk to each other while they wait. Bijnor is a place with a lot of history, and Nai Basti is a busy slice of it. We see all kinds of people, from young children to the elderly folks who have lived in the Mohalla their whole lives. The building itself is older, but we keep it tidy. There’s a ceiling fan that hums along during the hot months, and we keep the windows open for a bit of air. It’s a simple setup because that’s all we really need to do the job. People know that if they come to B-14, they will find the doctor. We don’t spend much on advertising because word of mouth in a place like Nai Basti is more than enough. The door handle is a bit loose, but it still works just fine for us.
