Craft Wood

Our workshop, Craft Wood, sits right on the Nagina By Pass Road. We are easy to find because we are near the H.I.C Road and the main bus stand is just a short walk away. Being in Nagina, we are surrounded by a lot of history with wood. We have a small crew of people who spend all day cutting, sanding, and joining pieces of timber together. There is always a layer of sawdust on everything, including our clothes. We don't have a shiny showroom with bright lights. Most of our finished pieces just sit in the corner until someone comes to pick them up. The noise from the saws is constant throughout the day. We use simple tools and our own hands for most of the work. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes with the heat, but we keep the doors open to catch the breeze from the road. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just work with wood. People from the neighborhood come to us when they need something made or fixed. The bypass road is always loud with trucks, but we don't mind it much anymore. We have been in this spot for a long time. It is a honest way to earn a living. We just focus on the grain and the glue.
