City Dental Clinic

We set up City Dental Clinic here on Silarad Road in Chandpur. It is a quiet enough part of town, which I appreciate. The clinic is not very large, just a couple of rooms and a small area where people can wait their turn. I usually get here around nine in the morning to start the day. The first thing I do is check the water levels and make sure the instruments are all where they belong. Chandpur is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, so a lot of our time is spent just catching up with people. I don't use a computer for everything; I still like writing things down in a big ledger book. It feels more real that way. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or so, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. The chairs in the waiting room are a bit mismatched because we picked them up at different times. It doesn't look like a fancy office you would see in a big city, but it works for us. I keep a small radio on the shelf, usually tuned to a local station playing old songs. It fills the space nicely. Most people come in because they have a toothache or just need a cleaning. We just take it one person at a time and try to make sure they leave feeling better than when they arrived.
