Benneshirur Clinic

Our clinic is over in Almel, in the Bijapur area. It’s a quiet spot compared to the bigger cities, and we like it that way. We’ve been serving this part of Bijapur for quite a while now, and we’ve become a bit of a fixture in the local neighborhood. The clinic itself is quite modest. We have just a couple of rooms for seeing patients and a small space where people can sit while they wait. It’s the kind of place where you don't need an appointment most of the time; you just show up and wait your turn. We spend a lot of time just talking with the folks who come in, hearing about their families and how their farms are doing. It’s a very rural feel here, even though we are a medical clinic. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff; we just rely on people knowing we are here. The building is an older one, but it’s sturdy and we keep it clean. We do our own maintenance for the most part, so you might see one of us fixing a door or painting a wall on a slow afternoon. It’s just a small team of us trying to provide a service that the people in Almel need. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to help our neighbors stay healthy. It is a slow and steady life here in Bijapur.
