Akki & Akki Studio And Id Card

You can find us right near the bus stand at Tippu Sultan Chowk. It is a very crowded area with people constantly moving around. Our shop is Akki & Akki Studio And Id Card. We handle a lot of photos and making those little plastic ID cards. Because we are so close to the bus stand, we get a lot of people who are just passing through and need something done quickly. The studio part is in the back with a simple backdrop and some lights that we have to adjust every time. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out with the customers. We talk about the weather or the local news. It is a small place. We have a counter in the front where we keep the computer and the laminating machine. It hums all day long. The smell of warm plastic is always there. We don't have a lot of space for people to sit, so they usually stand and wait. We try to be fast. We have been at this chowk for years. Everyone knows the name Akki here. We are just local people doing a local job. The windows get dirty from the bus exhaust, so we wipe them down when we can. It is just how it is in this part of town. We are open until the last buses leave usually and the area gets quiet.
