Midmac Contracting Company

Out here in Vill Shahtakiya, near the Pachrukhi post office in Siwan, you’ll find our Midmac Contracting Company office. It’s a rural spot, and that’s just how we like it. We are far away from the big city lights, but the work we do connects this little village to much bigger things. Most of the time, we are busy talking to local men about contracting jobs and helping them figure out the details for work. The office is small, and sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we don't mind much. We aren't here to look important. We are here to get the paperwork done so people can get to work. Siwan is a place where everyone knows everyone, so we have to be straight with people. If there’s a delay, we say so. If there’s a job, we let them know. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the area and the business. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our life. We spend the day drinking tea and checking lists. The work is mostly about making sure the contracts are solid and the guys are ready to head out. It’s practical, everyday stuff that matters to the families around here. We just do our part without making a big fuss.
