Shree Ram Krishna Seva Samiti

Shree Ram Krishna Seva Samiti is tucked away on G. T. Road in Howrah. The address is 201/2/1, specifically in the Ghusuri area. If you know that stretch of road, you know it is always loud with trucks and buses. We have been here for a while, dealing with whatever comes our way. The building is an old one, like most things in this part of town. We are right there near the 711 107 pin code area. Inside, it is mostly just us sitting around a couple of tables. There is usually a fan humming in the corner trying to keep the humidity away. Working in Howrah means you get used to the noise of the traffic and the smell of the rain on the pavement. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who show up every day to keep the doors open. It’s more of a community spot than a big office. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors or people passing by on G. T. Road. There’s no big sign or anything flashy outside. We just have our space and we do what needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. That’s just life in this part of West Bengal. It is a practical place for practical work. We stay busy enough without needing to make a fuss. We just keep things going as best as we can every day.
