Sri Ram Marble

Our shop Sri Ram Marble is located right at Janpul Chowk on the Main Road in Motihari. We are very close to the Mega Cinema so you can often hear the crowds or the music when a new movie is playing. Being on the main road means it is always noisy with horns and people shouting. We have a lot of marble slabs stacked up in front and inside the shop. They are heavy and cold to the touch. Sometimes the water we use to clean the stone makes the floor slippery so we have to be careful. People stop their cars right in front to take a look at what we have. It is a busy intersection and we spend a lot of time just watching the traffic go by between customers. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon and it gets quite warm inside. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the bills and a calculator. It is a bit cluttered with samples of stone and old newspapers. We don't have a fancy uniform just regular clothes that get dusty from the stone. It is a family-run kind of place and we have been at this spot near the cinema for a long time. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving. There is always plenty of work to do before we close.
