Gaurav Hardware

Gaurav Hardware is tucked away near Mahaveer Mandir right by Mittal Chowk in Bar Bigha. It is a busy little corner of the world. We can hear the bells from the temple every morning and evening, which is a nice way to start and end the day. Being at the chowk means there is always someone passing by or a rickshaw stopped out front. Our shop is filled with all the usual stuff you’d expect—buckets, pipes, tools, and boxes of nails stacked up to the ceiling. It is not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is if you give us a minute to look. We spend a lot of time searching through bins for specific screws or fittings that someone needs. It gets pretty dusty in here with all the metal and plastic items sitting on the shelves. We usually have a radio playing in the background, mostly just the local news or some music. The midday sun can get really bright at Mittal Chowk, so we tend to stay inside where it is a bit cooler. People come in with all sorts of broken things asking if we have a part to fix it. We just do our best to find what they are looking for. It is a humble business, and we are just glad to be part of the community here in Bar Bigha. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't.
