Global Pharma

Global Pharma is situated right opposite the bus stand in Humnabad. It’s a very busy spot because of all the travelers and buses moving in and out all day long. We are tucked just behind the Shalimar Hotel on Koliwada Road. It can be a bit hard to find if you aren't looking for it, but the hotel is a good landmark. The noise from the bus horns is something you just get used to after a while. Our space is functional, with metal shelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling. We spend a lot of the morning unloading crates that come in from the main distributors. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, which keeps us busy. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside in Humnabad. We have a small desk where we do all the billing and phone calls. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are behind the counter. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or lights. We just try to keep the stock levels right so we don't run out of the basics. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use flashlights to find things in the back. That’s just part of working in this part of town. We like the hustle of being near the bus stand, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the peak travel hours.
